A NUISANCE.

To the Editor.

Sir, - Are we never to have the ditch round the South Recreation Ground either cleaned out or filled up, It is most disgusting the state it is in, and the miasma arising from it is fearful. What are our City authorities about ? The flood-gate has been closed up for months. Surely our member, Mr Stout, might see into the matter. Ask any party in the habit of walking along the Anderson’s Bay road, his opinion, and he will soon tell you it is disgraceful. Yours, &c., Pedestrian.
