The Tnterprovincial Cricket Match com* menced on the U.C.C. ground this morning. Otago won the toss, and put Canterbury in. The weather was glorious, the attendance large, and the ground in splendid order. Play commenced'at eleven o’clock, Canterbury putting in Ollivier and Cotterill, to the bowling of Hendley and • den. The result up to two o’clock is as follows ; Ollivier, not out 18 Cotterill b Hendley ... ... I Pierce c Macfarlau b Headley id Fowler b Tait 3£» ( orfe b Glen I Stevens c Allen b Tait ... 1 Wontner, not out ... .. Extras 15 Total 84 The wickets fell as follows : One for 5 ; two for 20 ; three for 67 ; four for 68; five for 69.
