The amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption to-day, was Ll2B Is 3d.

Wheat is dull. The demand is becoming light, as buyers expect soon to be able to get ■wheat from Canterbury from the new crop, and at a reduced price. Quotations are unchanged. 6s 6d to 5s 9d. Second class wheat and fowl wheat are of same value, 4s 6d. In oats there is nothing doing ; a few small lots have been sold this week at ?s Id for milling; feeding samples at 2s. Earley, no sales, and quotations unchanged ; 6s 6d for malting and os for inferior. Potatoes are unsaleable for old crop ; new, at LlO, and in good demand. Flour is firm at Ll4 to Ll4 10s. Trade lots only are being sold. Second class flour has no sale in Dunedin Bran, scarce, L 4 ; pollard, L 5 10s : oatmeal, Lll 10s : pearl barley, L 2 4; hay, L 3 5s for new, L 4 for old; chaff, L 3 10s ; straw, LI 10s. , .. A. MERCER reports for the week ending January 25th. 1873, retail prices only Fresh butter, in hj and 11b prints, best quality, 8d to 9d per lb; second do, 7d per lb ; fresh batter in lumps, 7d per lb ; powdered and salt do, 7d to 8d per lb. The market is still well stocked with fresh butter, although the supply has fallen off considerably during the last week or two, and there is not so much being salted down. For salt butter in kegs there is a slight demand, and storekeepers in town hold large stocks. The supply of cheese is plentiful; prices for good qualities, 8d to 9d per lb ; second do, 7d to 8d per lb. English hams, Is 4d to Is 6d per lb ; Colonial do (good demand), lid to Is Id per lb. Side and rolled bacon. 9d to lOd per lb. Eggs are selling at Is 6d per dozen, and are very scarce.
