Obscene Language.— Ellen Duffcy appeared with a child in her arms, ia answer to a charge of m&kiug use of obscene language, and was fined in the full penalty of Lid, with the alternative of three months’ impris nmeut, with hard labor. Theft. -Ellen Beard was charged with stealing a gold c aui, of the value of L2 the property of one Ann Sherry, a prostitute, and in the possession of E leu Dufty. The charge being proved, the accused was sentenced to three months’ i■■ prismiment. Bye-law Gases— Henry Entwistle, for riding his horse acioss tbe footpath in George street, was lined os and costs ; James Spt’ight, neglecting to clean his premises in Oannongate street, os and costs; Robert WiLou had three charges preferred against him, of neglecting to keep a light burning over certain building materials, and was fined 2s 6d and costs on each charge; John Thomas, neglecting to keep a d.bt burning over material in Great King street, said it had been deposited there alter he left; and the Bench being inclined to believe his story dismissed the case.
