There was no appearance of the Wellington when our reports left the Port this afternoon. The barque Cyrene has now about 130 more piles left in her ; they will most likely be all out of her towards the end of next week. The lighters for the Palmerston’s passengers, after having water and provisions put on board, were towed down by the Peninsula today. The Stormbird sails this evening for Invercargill. The frigate-built ship Warrior Queen, under the command of Captain Wilson, was seen off the Ocean Beach on Monday. She put in an appearance, as reported before, at the Heads yesterday morning. The tug Geelong went down for her during the aftenmon, and brought her up at the first of the Hood at 8 o'clock p.m. Captain Wilson reports leaving the East India Dock on the 24th August, and passed the Lizard on the Ist September; sighted Madrid on the 11th ; the N.E. trades were very light in fact little more than calms ; the line was crossed October 0; sighted Trinidad on the 17th November ; the merodian of Greenwich was passed ou November 2, in 43dcg.; passed the meridian of the Capo of Good Hope on fith October ; sighted Prince Edward’s Island on the 11th ; her easting was run down in 48 S. ; sighted the Snares < n the 7th December; ran down the Coast in 48 S., and experienced light N.W. winds; passed the Snares the same day, and sighted the Nuggets ou Monday night. Besides a large general cargo, the Warrior brings 900 kegs of gunpowder, and consequently came to anchor well down the harbor, off Grassy Point. Sho brings twelve passengers, nine adults, and three children; none in the cabin. The Warrior Queen has been 101 days out from the time she left the Lizard. This is the longest passage made by Captain Wilson, who lias been out five times in her. The powder schooner Ark will take her powder to Dunedin as soon as possible, when the Warrior will be brought up to a more convenient discharging berth.
