He further states that the regulations are working, that he is relaxing them wherever necessary, and that he is in a position to send to Otago 1820 immigrants ;to Canterbury, IGDO ;to Marlborough, 140 ; to Auckland, 730; to x apier direct, 850 ; and to Wellington and the adjacent Provinces. 1450 ; making a total of 0516. of whom 8750 are English, 850 Irish. 570 Scotch, and 1840 foreigners. The Scotch agency, he says has never been interfered with, and Mr Auld will send the Otago immigrants from the Clyde. Irish immigrants are flow ng iu freely, and a central office, with a sub-agency, has been established under Mr Farnall, at Belfast, since June last.
