II The s.s. Albion sails this evening for Melbourne. The ship Christian M'Ausland was being towed up at 3.30 p.m. The p.s. Samson arrived from Oamaru at I а. in. on the sth. She reports leaving Oamaru on the 4th, at 5 p.m,, and experienced strong S.W. winds the whole passage, she steamed alongside the Peter Denny and discharged wool, came to the jetty and lauded 100 sheep audio pigs. She brings a full cargo of wool and grain. M'Meckan, Blackwood, and Co.’s steamer Claud Hamilton arrived in Port Chalmers at 6 a.m. on the sth. and moored alongside the coal hulk. She left Hobson’s Bay at 2.30 pm. of the 28th ult. ; cleared Port Phillip Heads at б. passed Swan Island on the 26th, at 5.30 a.m. ; experienced light N. andN.W. winds the first two days, and strong S. W. winds the remainder of the passage ; passed the Solanders at 10.30 a.m. on the 3rd December, and arrived at the Bluff at 4,30 p.m- same day; landed passengers and cargo, and left for Port Chalmers at 5.30 p.m. on the 4th. She brings 42 horses and 170 tons of cargo.
