WASTE LAND BOARD.
At the meeting of the Board yesterday there were present the Chief Commissioner, Messrs Tolmie, Allan, Duncan, and Hughes, and the following business was transacted : Objections by John Scott, lessee of run 419, and also 'by E. C. Bryant, against granting to J. W. Robertson and Co. a license to occupy 75 acres at Kinlocb for a paddock, were read. Patrick Cumming’s application to purchase section 8, block 4, TuapckaEast, held by him under agricultural lease, was sanctioned, On Win, Master’s application, for a pastoral lease of Hun 482, it was resolved that the land be sold by auction on the usual terms.
Plans of applications to purchase unsurveyed lauds were submitted for approval by the undermentioned, who asked to be declared purchasers :—Arch. M'Kinnon, section 11, block 2, Kuriwao; Alex. Miller, section G, block 2, Waipahi. The applications were granted. Edward Campbell, for Win. Eichardson and others, applied for an extension of timp to survey application in North Harbor and Blueskin District. It was resolved to draw the surveyor’s attention to the work, and to grant extension for throe months, on account of the special circumstances of the case, the land being situated in the bush. William Hecklar’s application for .authority to have surveyed part of block 11, Hawkesbury. to complete ids property, and to have it offered for sale at 10s an acre, was withdrawn.
Mr G. F. Ecid, for J. W. Eobortson and Co., applied to purchase five acres of land at One Mile Creek, for a woollen manufactory. The matter was referred to Warden Beetbam for report. Mr Ball’s application, on behalf of D. Sinnott, to have section 8, block 28, Havelock, put up for sale, was referred to the Warden for renort.
Mr Paterson’s application, on behalf of Mr Anderson, for a lease of the country between Euns 446 and 101, was postponed. The consideration of the application of W. Hccklar and others, for an extension of time to prospect for copper in the bush reserve, Mount Watkins, wag postponed.
