Sik,—ln your local of Saturday last, “ Telegraphy,” you stated that the election for Piesident of the United States took place on a Tuesday, and on Wednesday the result of General Grant’s re-election was transmitted from London to Australia, reaching Melbourne soon after eight o’clock last night. As everyone does not read the Argus, and as \ou have admitted the date yoqrsclf, might oblige the general public by stating the correct time it took to obtain the news from America to Australia and here.- - I am, &c., A.
