THE WASTE LAND BOARD.
To the Editor. Sir, —Your paragraph in last night’s Star, headed “The Waste Laud Board,” might mislead some of your readers. It might be imagined that you alluded to the new Board under the new Laud Act. I may state that the new Act comes into operation on the Ist of January, 1873. and that it provid s that the present Board “shall be dissolved” on that date. The new Board cannot, therefore, be appointed until January.—Yura, &c., Robert Stout, Dunedin, Nov. 28.
