MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor.) DRUNKENNESS. John Rau was lined os, or twenty-four hours’ imprisonment; Thomas Mayne, 10s, or twenty-four hours’ imprisonment; and Caroline Brown in the amount of her bail, 40s, FRUIT! NO. Michael O’Brien and Patrick M‘Portland were charged with lighting in Maclaggau street. There were three previous convictions against O’Brien of a similar nature. He was fined 4Us, or three days’ imprisonment, and M‘Portland 20s, or forty-eight hours. ASSAULT. Ellen Finlay v, Elizabeth Carrington was a charge of assault. The complainant said that defendant threw water over her and pushed her out of a house, Defendant admitted throwing the water, but said it was an accident, tohe was lined os and costa. EYE-LAW CASES. John Hill M‘Gregor, for keeping an unregistered dog, was lined iu the sum of 40s ; Win Clark, allowing his cows to wander ou the Main South Road, was mulcted in costs, it being his lirst offence ; Wm. Allen, carting away offensive matter after the break of day, was lined 2s lid and costs.
