MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day, (Before E. ff. Ward and James Brown, Esqrs., J.P.’s.) DRUNKENNESS. Charles Lockhart was tlned 3s. BYE-LAW CASES. Wm. Fisher was summoned for keeping an unregistered dog. When the case was previously heard, Cotton, a witness, swore the dog was Fisher’s. The latter now denied this, and said the dog belonged to Mr Cotton. The case was adjourned till to-morrow, to allow of Cotton’s son being subpoenaed. B. F. Stohr was fined 2s Gil for allowing the Company’s water to run to waste —David Ferguson was charged with evading the toll at Waika.i. The case was dismissed, the Bench thinking that he did not intern! to commit a breach of the Ordinance.
