Th® amount of revenue received at the Cus-tom-house on goods cleared for consumption to-day» was L 247 15s 10d. This week closes with a very firm market in breadstuff's. Floor has been advanced to Ll4 for good brands, and at this rate considerable sales have been effected. For speculation, about 100 tons had been disposed of, prior to the rise, at prices from LI 3 to Ll3 10s. Second class Hour is in demand at LI I. Oatmeal, dull, Lll 10s. Bran firm at L 4. Pollard, L 5 10s. In wheat, no sales of importance have been made ; there are not many good samples offering, and second class sorts have a bad market -prime milling is saleable at 5s 6d ; good ordinary, at oi 4d ; inferior, dull, at hto 4s 3d. Fowl wheat wanted at 3s 3d. Oats are without change —milling at 2s 3d, and feeding, 2s Id. There is no barley in the market. Potatoes, Dsto L 5 10s. Hay, L 3 15s. Chaff, L 3 15s. Straw, L2 10s. A. Mercer reports for the week ending November 16 Ketail prices only. Kreeh butter in 41b and lib prints, best quality, Oil to lOd per lb ; second quality, 8d to Od ; powdered and salt, 9d per lb; for old and inferior no enquiry. The market is completely glutted with fresh butter, but the quality is superior to what has been for the last few years. The inquiry for new season butter has in a great measure abated, in consequence of the up-country storekeepers getting their supplies in the neighbourhood, and consequently are salting down large quantities, and stocks are accumulating on ttieir hands; for good samples per lb. is asked. Cheese is still scaroe, although several parcels of new seasons from Canterbury have been placed in the market, for good samples Od to lOd per lb; second quality unsaleable. English ham, Is 4d to Is 6d per lb ; Colonial, lOd ; side and rolled bacon, 8d to 9d per lb. Eggs still continue scarce, and Is 2d per doz. is now asked.
