One hundred and parsons suffering from knife wounds were admitted into the hospitals at Home between the Ist July and Bth August. A man, captured on board a ship at the Cape of Good Hope on suspicion, Lad a double-barrelled gun, which was found to be charged with 1057 Vaal diamonds, and 1200 more were found concealed in his clothing. We (Liverpool Courier) have it on good authority that the Messrs Rothschilds subscription list to the last French loan to |l ! > million pounds sterling, and that of Messrs Baring Bros, and Co. to 44 millions sterling. A member of tbo House of Commons put his name down on Messrs Rothschild’s list for eight millions sterling,
