CORPORATION NOTICES. Municipal corporation of POUT CHALMERS. BYE-LAW No. 1. Bye-law of the Council of the Town of Port Chalmers, made mider part 13 of the “ Munhip.il Corporations Act, 1807. ” In pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in section ISI, part 13, of the “Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” the Council of the Town of Port Chalmers ordain as follows, that is to say Ist. The whole of the subdivisions of the Ist, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, sth, oth, Sth, oth, and 11th parts; and subdivisions I and 2 of the 7th part ; and subdivisions 2. 3, 4, and 5 of the 10th part of the 13tli schedule of the said Act, arc hereby adopted in and for the said Town of Port Chalmers, and for and on behalf of the said Corporation. 2nd, The following Bye-laws heretofore existing arc hereby repealed, that is to say : The Bye-law numbered 1, intituled “A Byc-law to Regulate the Driving of Horses and Horned (tattle through the Town of Port Chalmers.” The Bye-law numbered 2, intituled “A Bye-'aw to prevent the Stacking of Hay or Straw, and to (legulatc the Storage of the same within the Town of Port Chalmers.” The Byc-law numbered 3, intituled “ A Bye-law for compelling the Removal of Waste Water and Impurities from Cellars and other places within the Town of Port Chalmers.” The Bye-law numbered 4, intituled “A Bye law to prevent the mischiefs arising from the Mailing of Fires in the Open Air in the Town of Port Chalmers.” The Bye-law numbered 5, intituled “A Bye-law to prevent the mischiefs arising from Fires in Chimney Flues in the Town of Port Chalmers.” 'the Bye-law numbered 6, intituled “A Bye-law to Prohibit Rubbish or other Matter being deposited within the Town of Port Chalmers, excepting at the places determined upon by the Town Council.” The Byc-law numbered 7, intituled “ A Bye-law to regulate the Sale by Weight or Measure of Marketable Commodities within the Town of Port Chalmers, and to define the hours during which certain of such commodities may he exposed for sale.” The Byo-law numbered 8, intituled “A Bye-law for the Licensing and Regulating Waggons and other Vehicles, and the owners, drivers, and conductors thereof ; and for regulating the sale and exposure for sale of hay, straw, coals, firewood, and water within the Town of Port Chalmers.” The Byelaw numbered 9, intituled “Crossing over Footways and Channels, save by made crossings.” Tire Bye-law numbered 10, intituled “ Hoarding and Fence.” The Bye-law numbered 11, intituled “Regulation of Proceedings of Council, Officers, &c ”

BYE-LAW No. 2, Bye-law of tho Council of the Town of Port Chalmers, made under section 180 of the “Municipal Corporations Act, ISG7.” A Bye-law to provide for tho bettor Pule and Government of the Town of Port Chalmers. In pursuance of the powers and provisions contained in section ISG of part 18 of the “ Municipal Corporations Act, 18G7-” The Council of the Town of Port Chalmers ordain as follows, that is to say : Any person guilty of any of tho following offences, omissions, or neglects, within the Town of Port Chalmers, shall, on being convicted of any such offence, neglect, or omission, be liable to pay any penalty not exceeding forty shillings for lirst offence, and not exceeding live pounds for any subsequent offence : Ist, Throwing any glass, filth, dirt, rubbish, or other matter of a similar nature, upon any street, footway, court, alley, or public place whatsoever. 2nd. Biding, driving, leading, or wheeling any barrow, cart, dray, or carriage, upon or along any footpath without permission from the Town Council to do so, 3rd. Placing any timber, bricks, stones, or other building materials, upon any footway, channel, surface drain, or carriage road, without such permission as aforesaid. , 4th. Burning any shavings, straw, or other materials or matter upon any footway, carriage road, or open or public place, without such permission as aforesaid. nth. Leaving any inflammable materials or matter m any public shed or place, or on any open space near any building, without such permission as aforesaid.

Gth. Drawing or trailing any sledge, timber, or other material, upon any footway or carriage road, to the injury of such footway or carriage road. 7th. Carting away any night soil, or other offensive matter, without having a license from the Town Council .of Port Chalmers so to do. Bth. Allowing any pjght soil or other offensive matter to be spilt or otherwise cast on to or upon any road, street, footway, public place, nr thoroughfare. 9th. Allowing the droppings from tho eaves of any house to fall upon any footway. 10th. Placing any placard or other document, writing, or painting on, or otherwise defacing any house, or building, or any wall, fence, lamp post, railway post, or gate, without the consent of tho occupier or owner thereof. 11 th. Opening any drain or sewer, or removing the surface of any footway or carriage rogd. without authority from the Town Council to do so. 12th. Neglecting tp cjieap apy private yard, way, passage, or avenue, by wnich neglect a nuisance, by offensive smell or otherwise is caused. }3t}i. Rolling any cask, beating any carpet, breaking-in apy horse, flying any kite, using any bows and arrows, op playing at any game, to the annoyance of any pepspn, in any public place, or obstructing any footpath or carriage road, whether by allowing any cart or gpimal to remain across such footpath or carriage road, or by placing goods thereon, or otherwise,
