CORPORATION NOTICES. 15tb. Having any awning on or over any footway in any public street or thoroughfare, not being ten feet clear above the footwav. IGth. Blasting any rock, stone, or timber, in or near any publi i place, without permission of the Town Council. 17th, Furiously or negligently riding or driving through any public place, street, or thoroughfare. 1 Stli. Exposing in any public street or thoroughfare, except in any fair or market lawfully appointed for that purpose, any horse or other animal for show, hire, or sale. 19th. If any butcher or other person shall kill or slaughter any animal without having been duly licensed in that behalf by the Town Council. 20:h. Making any cellar door or other opening from the footway of any street or public thoroughfare, without the consent, or not in accordance with the directions of the Town Council. 21st, Exposing for sale any article whatsoever on any footway, or outside of any shop window' or doorway abutting on any public thoroughfare or street. 22ud. Discharging any firearms, or letting off any fireworks, or carrying any firearms, sword, dirk, dagger, or other offensive weapon \s ithiu the Town of Port Chalmers, without permission of the Town Council. Provided that the provision last aforesaid shall not apply to any Justice of the Peace, or any person in Her Majesty’s military or naval service, or any member of the police, or other peace officer, or any member of a recognised volunteer corps, or any special constable, or any person actually in pursuit ©f any felon or offender. 23rd. Any person laying out or opening any street or building therein, and omitting during the operations necessary for forming such street, or for building therein, to take all such precautions for guarding against injury to the passengers along such street as may he necessary, or as may be directed by the Town Council. 24th. Any person placing any obstruction upon any street line, whereby life or limb is likely to be endangered. 25th, Any person leaving any hole, excavation, or dangerous formation in or near any public p ace, street, or thoroughfare, without fencing or enclosing the same, or without keeping a light binning upon such formation from sunset to sunrise. 20th. Any p. rson neglecting or omitting to keep in good repair any rail, gate, fence, or cover over or about any area, or entrance to any cellar or other place, or keeping open for more than a reasonable time for taking in or out any articles, any entrance to any area, cellar or other place (such area or entrance opening into, or upon, or near any public street, road, thoroughfare, or other public place.) 27th. Any person throwing any offensive matter, or any animal, with the intsntion of drowning it, into any river, watercourse, or other place from whence the supply of water for the use of the inhabitants of the said Town is obtained. 28th. Any carter riding on any cart, dray, or waggon, without having and holding proper and sufficient reins, and no competent person having charge of the animal or animals drawing the same, 29th. Any person driving any vehicle whatsoever, or riding any animal, and when meeting any other vehicle or animal, not keeping on the left or near side of the road or street, or when passing any other vehicle or animal going in the same direction, not going or passing, or not allowing any person desirous so to do to pass, when practicable, on the right or off side of such other vehicle or animal. 30Lh. Driver of any horse or vehicle injuring any person or property, whatsoever, by negligence or by driving on the wrong side of the road, or by being away from his horse or cattle, so as to be unable to have the full control of them. 31st. Any person driving any cart, waggon, or dray without the name and residence of the owner thereof being painted in a legible and permanent manner on the right or off side, in letters of at least one inch in length. 32nd. Any person driving any dog or goat harnessed, or attached to any vehicle, through any public place. 33rd. Any person who shall act as driver, or have the solo charge of more than one vehicle, on any public road or street, unless in eases where two of such carriages and no more shall be drawn each by one horse only, and the horse of the himler of such carriages shall be attached by a sufficient rein to the back o? the foremost of such vehicles. 34th. Driver or guard of public vehicle for conveyance of passengers wilfully delaying on the road, using any abusive or irsuiting language to any passenger, or by reason of any intoxication, negligence, or other misconduct causing injury to or endangering the safety of the person or property of any passenger or other person. 35th. Any person turning loose any horses or cattle upon any public street, or allowing any animal or animals to wander on any public street or thorougnfare within the Town of Port CTiidmcrs. 30th, Any poison leaving upon any public street or thoroughfare any plough, harrow, cart, or other vehicle without any horse or animal harnessed thereto, unless in consequence of some accident having occurred. 37th. Any person slaughtering or skinning any beast upon any public street or thoroughfair, or permitting any slaughtered boast or skin to remain there, or leaving any dead be ast on such street or thoroughfare. 3Si.h, Any person having any iron, timber, or boards laid across any vehicle going along any street or thoroughfare so that cither end shall project more than two feet beyond the wheels or sides of such vehicle. 39th. Any person destroying, damaging, polluting or obstructing any aqueduct, dam, sluicepipe, pump, watercourse, or fountain. doth. Any \ orson, selling, exposing, delivering, or offering for sale any hay, straw, or coals, within the Town of Rort Chalmers, without having weighed or caused toe same to be weighed at some weighhiidge within the said 'town, licens< d or provided, or sanctioned for that purpose by the Town Council of Fort Chalmers ; or any such person refusing or omitting to produce the weight note of the load, or part of a load, of any such
