MAYOR'S COURT. Yesterday. (Before His Worship the Mayor.) LARCENY. Maurice O'Connell was charged with stealing from the Plough Inn, Caversham, on the sth July, 1870, a gold watch and chain, valued at LI2, the property of Wm. Pucldy, As there was a doubt of the prisoner’s identity, he was, on the recom> mendation of the Commisnoner of Police* discharged. RYE-LAW CASES. Edward Ryan Ridley, charged with driving a carriage at other than a walking pace round a corner, were dismissed with a caution. —Thomas Cross, same offence, was fined 2a 6d.—David Bacon, charged with allowing water to waste, was fined 2s 6d. This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor.) DRUNKENNESS. Thos. Thorburn, charged with being drunk and disorderly, was fined ss, or, in default, twenty-four hours’ imprisonment.
