The amount of revenue received at t-be this tun-house on goods oWred for consumption to-day- was 1.700 17s Id.
Messrs Gillies and Street sold at auuction, to-day, 988 acres of land at Lovell's Flat to Messrs Boyd Brothers, of the Taieri, for L^jOOO. Messrs M'Landreifl, Hepburn, and Co. offered for sale by auction to-day the cargo of new season’s sugars, ex Ocean Monarch. There was a large attendance ; and it will be seen that good prices were obtained, especially for the commoner sorts. I here were If) lots, comprising 14,112 bags, all of which except two, comprising 1669 bag?, and about 840 bags of another lot, were sold. The following were the prices realise ! Finest white crystals, L4O to L 42 10s ; line do do, L 37 to L 39 7s 6d ; finest yellow crystals, L 36 7s 6d to L 36 17s tkl; fine do do, L 36 5a to L 36 10*; good browns, L 35 5s to L3o 17s Gel.
