A correspondent of La -doml ]Vah r proposes to utilise cats to keep strawberry beds c'ear of birds by fastening the cat to a small chain sliding on a wire ami giving the animal the walk up and dovvp the beds. He has tried the plan for thirty years, and lindsthat the cats soon take willingly to the work even if set free.
