MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day. (Before His Worship the Mayor.) DRUNKENNESS. Wm. Macgregor was fined 5s ; John Jenkins, 10s; and Janies Catterack alias M‘Donald, 10 s. INDECENCY. George Wright, charged with this offence, was let off with a severe caution, his Worship saying that in consequence of a defect in the Act he was obliged to adopt that course, though he did so with reluctance. J.'.VE-LAW CASES. The following cases were dismissed with a caution Charles Armstrong, chimney on fire; M. Bardslcy, nuisance; Andrew Cole, lighting a lire in the open air, without permission ; John Walsh, plying for hire off the cab-stand ; Euphemia Suedden, allowing the Company’s water to run to waste. A. T. Dunning and David Bowers, chimneys on fire, were each fined 2s 6d ; Norman Wood, leaving an excavation unfeuced, ss.
