Tins Day. (Before His Worship the Mayor and Dr Harding, J. P.) DRUNKENNESS. Donald Henderson and Alex. M'Ausland were each fined 5s ; Mary Ann Sutton was fined L 3, with the alternative of 14 days’ imprisonment; and Kate Maskell alias Saunders and Benjamin Farra 40s each, the last mentioned accepting the alternative of a week’s imprisonment. OBSCENE LANGUAGE. Lizzie Low was fined L 3 or 14 days’ imprisonment. BYE-LAW CASES. Alex. Baxter, driving a horse round the street corners at other than a walking pace, was fined 5s and coats ; Mrs Towers, neclecting to keep premises clean, L 5, to be reduced to Is if the nuisance be abated within a fortnight ; Alex Grant aud Michael Gorman, cattle straying, 2s 6d each ; William Bridgman, same, 10s and costs j Thomas Everett, same, 5s and costs. ASSAULT, Mary Bate v. Wm. M‘lntyre.—Case dismissed ; no appearance. NEGLECTED CHILD. Jane Williams, aged nine years, was sent to the Industrial School for five years, to be brought up in the Presbyterian form of religion.
