Thes.s. Rangatira left Auckland on the 30th ultimo at 6 p.m M and arrived at Tauranga at H a.m. the following morning ; sailed for Poverty Bay the same day at i p.m., with heavy sea and rain, and arrived there at 4 p.m. on the 2nd inst.; sailed again at 8 p.m., with strong hj ;ad wind and arrived at Napier at 0.30 a, m. on the 3rd ; left same day at 2 p.m., encountered strong head wind and heavy a a off Cape Palliser; arrived in Wellington at 4 p.m. on the 4th ; sailed at 8 a.m. oh the Oth, with head wind and rain, and arrived at Lyttelton at noon on the 7th; sailed again at 6 p.m., and arrived at Oatnaru at noon on the Sth ; saded again at 4 p.m., arriving at Port Chalmers last night and passed up to Dunedin. The s.s. Pretty Jane arrived last night from the Molyneux, and landed part cargo at Port Chalmers Jetty this moining, and proceeded to Dunedin. The s.s. Maori arrived at 10.45 this forenoon from Lyttelton via intermediate ports, and was placed alongside the barque Albyn’s Islfeto coal. The ship Peter Denny, with passengers and a cargo of general merchandise from Glasgow, arrived at the Heads and was signalled at 1 to-day. Following the ship’s name, the signal, “All well on board,” was hoisted and the Geelong proceeded to the ship at 1.45 to tow her in with this evening’s flood. > The Peter Denny is said to have sailed on July 9th, and the K P. Bouverie to have left London on July lltb. The s.s, Albion, from Melbourne via West and Northern Ports of call, arrived at 1 p.m. to-day.. The three-masted schooner Elderslie, for the Mauritius, sailed at 2 p.m. to-day. Thes.s, Wallabi was iast night placed on Isbister’s slip. A topsail schooner from the coast was heating up from the Heads at 4 o’clock this afternoon. Owing to a chain breaking in heaving up the Wallabi on the slip, a tide was lost, and she was taken into the graving dock this afternoon.
