CORPORATION NOTICESCITY OF DUNEDIN. NOTICE TO HOLDERS OF MUNICIPAL CITY LEASES. THE Lessees of Municipal Estate shortly reverting to the Corporation, having been by letter recently invited to arrange with the City Council forthwith as to the amount of valuation for buildings erected upon the lands demised respectively, arc informed that, failing an immediate and satisfactory settlement with the Corporation on this head, the leases will be allowed to expire in the ordinary course, and the present lessees will in that oaae be left to their only alternative remedy, viz., to remove their buildings oflf,the leaseholds. Such removal to be effected, if at all within thirty days after the date of the expiration of the leases. Conditions of lease may be inspected at the Town Clerk’s Office. The new leases provide for full valuation for permanent improvements at the expiration of leases; such valuation to be determined by the decision of two out of threo arbitrators (one arbitrator being named by the leasers, one by the lessee, and the third one by the two thus appointed). Three months prior to the termination of the new lease, the laud demised will be relet by public auction, the upset annual rental to be named at auction being fixed by the arbitrators. In the event of there being no higher bid than the upset rental, the outgoing tenant to be entitled to, and to be bound to accept, a new lease of the promises for a further term of years at the upset rental aforesaid. In the event of any other person than the outgoing tenant becoming the lessee, the incoming tenant to be bound to pay tbe outgoing tenant the amount of valuation for permanent improvements as previously fixed by the arbitrators aforesaid. The dates of the auction sales will be duly advertised. The allotments the leases of which expire in November, 1872, iu January, 1873, and in March, 1873, will be submitted for public competition iu the course of a few days J. M. MASSEY, Town Clerk.
