A comparative return of wool exported from the several wool exporting ports of the Colony, during the financial years ending respectively 30th June, 1871, and 30th Juno, 1872, has been laid before the General Assembly. Wo select the figures opposite the principal ports
In 1871 the gross "amount exported was 35,964,271 Ihs., valued at H,476,639; in 1872, 40,691,235 lbs., valued at L 2,374,312. The value of the wool exported from Auckland in 1871, was U 0,562 j from Wellington,
L 217,052; from Napier, L 79,592 ; from Wairau, L 48,937; from Nelson, 10,509: from Lyttelton, L 393.962; from Dunedin, L 523.247; and from Invercargill, &c., L 142,089.
