A KENSINGTON COMPLAINT.
To the,' Editor.
Sir,—l notice that two or th ee approaches across the big ditch that separates Kensington from tho Cricket Ground have been removed. This has been done without tho sanction of the City Council, and unknown, as Mr Baines informs a neighbor of mine, to any committtce of the Council. Why is this? Can it be that this is the first step that the Mayor has taken to revenge hi* Caversham defeat? and this notwithstanding that the electors were promised a proper road right through the reserve—as straight no doubt as the road through the Octagon. 1 hope the City Council will say whether the Mayor is thus able to ignore tho Council or not. If permitted to do as he has dune iu the past, it might bo a question worth considering whether a City Council is necessary at all,— I am. &0., Kensington Elector.
