As nearly as may be practicable, the properties will be let for the further term six months prior to the expiration of the current leases. Particulars of the dates of sales will be hereafter duly announced. Conditions of lease may be inspected at the Town Clerk’s Office. The new leases provide for full valuation for permanent improvements at the oxpjratipn of leases ; such valuation to by. determined by the decision o,f two opt of three arbitrators (onp arbitrator being named by ffho lessors, one by the lessee, and the third one by the two thus appointed). Three months prior to the termination of the new lease, the land demised will be ret let by public auction, the upset annual rental to be named at auction being fixed by the arbitrators. In tn e uVfi ht of there being no higher hid than the upset rental, the outgoing tenant to be entitled to, and to be bound to accept, a new lease of the premises for a further term of years at the upset rental aforesai'h in tbe event of nay other person than the outgoing tenant becoming the lessee, the iuCv'uUug tenant to he bound to pay tbe outgoing tenant the amount of valuation for permanent improvements as previously fixed by the arbitrators aforesaid. The dates of the auction sales will he duly advertised, The allotments the leases of which expire in November, 1872, in January, 1873, and iu March, 1873, will be submitted for public competition in the course of a few days J. MONDAY, 30th SEPTEMBER, At 2 o’clock, CORPORATION LEASES, M ‘LANDLESS, HEPBURN, and CO. arp instructed by the Corporation of Dunedin to Sell by Auction, at their Rooms, Manse street, on Monday, 30th September, at 2 o’clock, Leases for 21 years of the following City Reserves, viz.— Sections 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13, Quarry Reserve, Serpentine - venue, M aclaggan street. Each allotment contains of an acre, more or less. Upset price, L 5 per section per annum. Also, Leases for 14 years of Corporation subdivisions 13, 33, and 34, block XLII, Princes street and Bond street. The above leases are subject to the usual Corporation conditions, and full information can be obtained at the Corporation Offices, Manse street.
