This ])Ay. (Before A. C. Strode, Esq,, R.M.) Mary MTennau v. Donald M'Leunan.— This was an application under the Married Women’s Protection Act, for an order securing to the applicant her earnings. Mr Stout for the applicant. Mrs M'Letman stated that she had been married to Donald M‘Berman twelve months last August. He Is a farmer at the Taieri Beach. In consequence of this violent conduct, she left him about six months ago, but returned; but had again to leavo him on the Ist September. She is now in service, and the application was, that an order securing her earnings to her might be made. His Worship considered the case a weak one, but an order was granted to take effect' from September 1. Boyle v. Boyle.—.-Tips was a charge against the respondent, Cornelius Boyle, he had left fun wife, Catherine Bpyle, apd four children, without ipeaps pf support. Prom the evidence of the applicant it appeared that about six months ago he went to the Dunstau Creek, and bad never written nor sent her any money for the support of his family. He was lined 20s and costs, apd an order was made for payment of 15s a week for the support of his family.
