As nearly as may be practicable, the properties will he let for the further term six months prior to the expiration of the current leases. Particulars of the dates of sales will be hereafter duly announced. Allotment 1 of Section 32, Block Vi, Dunedin, will be leased in one lot Allotment 2 of Section 32, Block VI, Dun* edin, will be leased in one lot Allotment 3 of Section 32, Block VI, Dunedin, will he leased in one lot Allotments 4, 5, and 6, of Section 32, Block VI, Dunedin, will be leased in one lot—--7 feet being reserved off the corner in order to improve the streets Allotment 7 of Section 32, Block VI, Dunedin, will be leased in one lot Allotments 8 and 9 of Section 32, Block VI, Dunedin, will be leased in one lot North half of Section 40, Block IX, Princes street, Dunedin, will be leased in one lot Section 18, Block XV, Dunedin, will be leased in two lots Section 33, Block XVII, Dunedin, will he leased in four lots Section 49, Block XVII, Dunedin, will be leased in two equal lots Section 17, Block XVI, Dunedin, will be leased in two lots Section 18, Block XVI, Dunedin, will be leased in one lot Section 20, Block XV, Dunedin, will be leased in two lots Section 16, Block XVI, Dunedin, will be leased in two lots Section 56, Block XX, Dunedin, will be leased in three lots Section 26, Block XVI, Dunedin, will be leased in one lot. Conditions of lease may he inspected at the Town Clerk’s Office. The new leases provide for full valuation for permanent improvements at the expiration of leases ; such valuation to be determined by the decision of two out of three arbitrators (one arbitrator being named by the lessors, one by the lessee, and the third one by the two thus appointed). Three mouths prior to the termination of the new lease, the land demised will be relet by public auction, the upset annual rental to be named at auction being fixed by the arbitrators. In the event of there being no higher bid than the upset rental, the outgoing tenant to be entitled to, and to be bound to accept, a new lease of the premises for a further term ofjycars at the upset rental aforesaid. Jn the event of any other person than the outgoing tenant becoming the lessee, the incoming tenant to be bound to pay the outgoing tenant the amount of valuation for permanent improvements as previously fixed by the arbitrators aforesaid. The dates of the auction sales will be duly advertised. The allotments the leases of which expire in November, 1872, in January, 1873, and in March, 1873, will be submitted for public competition in the course of a few days J. M. MASSEY, Town Clerk. IN pursuance of The Regulation of Elections Act 1870,1, Alfred Chcthain Strode, .Returning Officer for the Electoral District of WAKART, do hereby give notice that, by virtue of a Writ, hearing date the twenty fourth day of September, 1872, under the Public Seal of the Province of Otago, an Election will be held for the return of one qualified, person to serve as Member of the Provincial Council for the said Electoral District, and that the Nomination of Candidates will take place at the Drill Shed, Kaikorai, at noon on Thursday, the third day of October, 1872, and that the poll (if necessary) will be taken on Thursday, the tenth day of October, 1872.
