CRICKET.
To the Editor. Sir,—l am very sorry that my remarks in yesterday’s issue of the Duily Tunes have had a wrong construction placed upon them, They were intended to apply to the whole of the Clubs, and they have been accepted by your correspondent “ Wicket” as a slur upon the Secretary and Committee of the D.C.C. Tips certainly was never my intention. Although 1 may be a fussy member, still I am an enthusiastic cricketer, and like to see things dons properly, which for some time past has not been the case. I have no wish to provoke a discussion upon this matter, because I know it will do wo good ; still I hold to my opinion that the Clubs will be all the bettor for the management being left to the older members, and 1 feel certain that when properly appealed to they would undertake it, Ido not wish to occupy your space in explaining why my letter was delayed from appearing, although I might do sp ; suffice it to say that it was not by any desire of mine to prevent anyone answering it before the general meeting of the D.C.C. —I am, &c., Point. Dunedin, Sept. 19.
