MAYOR’S COURT.
This Day. (Before his Worship the Mayor and Jasi Brown, Esq., J.P.) DRUNKENNESS. David Mackay, William Deraynes, and James Hall, were each fined 5s for being drunk. VAGRANCY. Sarah White and Ellen Burke were charged with having no vis : ble means of support. The first was sentenced to two, aud the second to three months’ imprisonment, with hard labor. STEALING FROM A BAR. Margaret Stewart, for stealing a bottle of ginger wine from the bar of the Cornwall Arms Hotel, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment with hard labor. CHARGE OF STEALING. Jane Macdonald, alias .Jane Kelysham, charged with stealing sundry articles of dress aud two bottles of champagne from the residence of Mr H. P. Morse, was remanded for seven days. BYK-LAW CASES. Patrick Haggerty, for allowing three cows to wander in Caversham, was fined 20s ; and Alexander Cameron, for two cows wandering, 2s Gd. REMAND. The hearing of the charge against Henry Williamson, for permitting gambling in a licensed bouse, was adjourned.
