ATENT for certain Improvements in the construction and Manufacture of Revolving Berdan Basins or Pans, used for the pulverization, reduction, and amalgamation of Gold, Silver, or other ores, minerals, and any other substances, and in the apparatus employed therein. This is to notify that EDWARD MAN CORBETT, of Grahamstown, Thames Gold Fields, in the Province of Auckland. New Zealand, Engineer, did, on the sixteenth day of July last, deposit at the office of the Patent Officer, in the Colonial Secretary’s Office, in Wellington; a specification or instrument in writing under his hand and seal, particularly describing and ascertaining the nature of the said invention, and in what manner the same is to bo performed ; and that by reason of such deposit the said invention is protected and secured to him exclusively for the term of six calendar months thence next ensuing. And I do further notify that the said EDWARD MAN COHBETT has given notice in writing at my office, of his intention to proceed with his application for Letters Patent for the said invention, and I have appointed Friday, the fifteenth day of November ue*.t, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, at ray office, to hear and consider the said application and all objections thereto ; and I do hereby require alt persons having an interest in opposing the grant of such Letters Latent to leave, on or before the eleventh day of November, at my office in Wellington, particulars in writing of their objections to the said application, otherwise they will be precluded from urging the same.
