Luna direct from Wellington arrived at 6 p m. last evening, and sailed at 8 o clock this morning with the San Francisco mails. The s.s. Wellington arrived from northern ports to-day at 8 a.m . and was placed alongside the s s. Phoebe to tranship cargo. The p.s. Dacotah will leave New York in a few days from date, via Capo of 6o»d Hope, for Melbourne, to take her p'ace in the Webb line. No expense has been spared in the outfit of this ship, with a view to speed and the comfort of her passerg rs. The arrangements are very superior to th of her consorts, the Nevada and Nebraska. It is a source of congratulation that the only obstacle to a pleasant voyage between the Colonies and this country— transhipment at Honolulu —is soon to be avoided. We shall give in our next a full description of the Dacotah that our Colonial friends may iudge of her merits. We learn from good authority that Mr Webb intends building two additional ships for this line with ail possible dispatch ; this he is enabled to do, as Congress has repealed all duties on shipbuilding material entering into the construction or repair of ships. —News of the World, July 17. , ~ A private telegram states that the baroue Eleanor sailed from Newcastle for Dunedin on the 2lstult.
