COMPLIMENTARY DINNER TO MR MILLS.

Ono of those pleasant re-unions which shew the good feeling which exists between employer and employed, took place last evening at the Pier Hotel, when a complimentary dinner was given Mr James Mills, manager of the Harbor Steam_ Company, by the captains, officers, enginceis, and clerks in the Company’s employ. After the removal of the cloth, Captain Malcolm, whooc.upied the chair, proposed the usual loyal toasts, which were duly acknowledged. . i ~ Mr W. B. Mabsh, who occupied the vicechair, proposed “ Prosperity to Otago, which was warmly received and responded The CIIATTiMAK next proposed the toast of the evening, “ The health of Mr James Mills" . . , . Mr Mills, in rising to respond, was most enthusiastically received. He begged most heartily to thauk them for the manner in which the toast had been received and responded to.
