CAVERSHAM ELECTION.

The polling for this election took place yesterday, between the hours of 9 a m. and 4 p m , at the Schoolhouaes, Mornmgton and Cavershaa. At ten minutes to five o clock the result was announced at the latter place by the Substitute Returning Officer, Mr W. P. Street, te be as follows .

Majority for Stout—39. The final declaration of the poll will be made by Mr Street, at the Caversham, at noon, on Monday, the 19 th.
