Shaw and Co., and we (Lyttelton Timex, July 27th) are glad to hear that they have met with a gratifying amount of success. They manufacture for the trade only, and express their ability to supply an excellent article at a less price than retailers have now to pay for Day and Martin. They claim that their blacking possesses amongst others, the following advantages :1. It produces a brilliant polish in two minutes, even though the boots be new, greasy, or wet. 2.
