A public meeting is to be held to-night to urge upon the Government the commencement of the Nelson and Foxbill Railway. Grbymouth, August 13. 3.25 p.m., received at 3.50. Hunt’s claim at Reefton yielded 800 ozs. of gold from 400 tons of stone.
Hokitika, August 13. 3.18 p,m., received at 4.9 p.m. The Tararua has sailed for Greymouth without being tendered here, the bar being rough and unworkable.
