Theatrical. —The Japanese troupe, which arrived to-day by the Albion, are under engagement, wc believe, to appear at the Princess Theatre at an early date. It comprises Mrs Charles, a vocalist ; Mr Margetts, comiepio ; and ten Japanese. Of the latter one is a female, and this troupe includes the boy “All Fight,” whose feats are said to be astonishing. 1 hey are accompanied by M. Ferrarcz, with his monkeys, who will he remembered in connection uith Smith and Lystov’s troupe. A Souvenir. —We have been shown a copy of the photographs of the men who represented the two Islands in the match North v. South, at the Colonial prize firing in April. The competitors were— North: Carter, Churton, Kelly, Hoskin, Gray, Humphreys, Partington, Duncan, M‘Donald, Fenton, • South : Muir, Cowie, Wales, Brown, Blatch, Phillpots, Buchanan, Wilson, Taylor, and Inncs, The photographs, which are by Gaul, of Christchurch, are well done, and arc mounted on cardboard. The group forms an interesting souvenir of the meeting.
