Mr Wynn Williams retiring for private reasons. A vote thanks to the hon. John Hall for his faithful services was carried by acclamation. A Rechabite tent is to be established in Christchurch, A public meeting for the purpose to be held to-morrow, Mr Saunders, of Nelson, in the chair. Great satisfaction is felt here at the action taken by the Congress of Superintendents relative to railway works being brought under Provincial control. . Resolutions were earned charging MtS’rs Reid and Mervyu with stating gross untruths in regard to the land.
