Sir,— Mr Brown is reported in this morn» ing’s Times to have said, “ Besides, it was well known that Mr Walter and Mr Rossbotlum did not pull together; therefore what the one supported the other would oppose, as a matter of course.” The above statement could only have emanated from the fertile brain of his advisers, and not from the old gentli.nv'.u, who only acted as he was prompted i received the enclosed letter from Mr Rossbotham in reply to one of mine, which, in justice to Mr Rossbotham and myself, you will please publish.—l am, &c Henry J. My Dear Sir,—Will you kindly inform me if on any occasion you stated to Mr Brown or his friends, “That we did not pull together nor are likely to do so, if I am returned to the Council.” If you have said so, I shall be obliged if you will give your reasons.
