Tke Small-Pox. —An order in Council has been issued, a copy of which has been received by his Honor the DeputySuperintendent, by telegraph, authoiising the authorities at any port to place any vessel arriving from Honolulu in quarantine, whether such vessel may or may not have previously called at a port in New Zealand. The Board of Health or a majority of them arc invested with power to detain any such vessel in quarantine, and the crew and passengers in lazaretto, until such measures may have been prescribed as for cleansing, purifying, or disinfecting such vessel, passengers, and crew, have been carried into effect.
