THE MAYORAL ELECTIONS.
Mr Fraer has been returned for Cromwell, beating his opponent, Mr Taylor, the late Mayor, by 11 votes. The polling was, Fraer, 42; Taylor, 31. Mr Gpodall has been re-elected Mayor ef Milton. The polling was, Goodall, 69; Duncan, 57. Mr Edward Herbert has been returned for Lawrence. He polled 91 votes to Mr Meyer’s 54. Dr Wait has been returned for Oamaru. The polling was Wait, 155 ; Waddell, 111 ; Shiimski, 82.
