A private meeting of the Gold Fields members was held this morning to endeavor to arrange a common course of action upon mining matters. The meeting decided to support a reduction of the gold duty to two shillings, and to use its best endeavors to obtain measures for securing the expenditure of Gold Fields revenue on Gold Fields purposes.
