A. 7 Mercer reports for the week ending 20th July;—Ketail prices only-Freshgut-ter, in 41b and 11b prints, best quality, Is 4d to Is Gd per lb ; second quality, Is 3d to Is4d ; fresh butter in lumps, Is Id; powdered and salt butter, best quality, Is M ; second, lOd to lid. Fresh butter still continues scarce, the supply being readily metby the demand at last weeks quotations, ior good samples of salt butter in kegs lOd per % is being given. Cheese still keeps in good request, and a slight advance in price is perceptible. Best quality is worth 6d to Jd; second quality, Gel per lb. Side and rolled bacon is fetching 9d to lOd. _ Eggs still continue very scarce, and are bringing Is Jd per dozen.
