Auckland, July 18. 2,9 p.m. Caledonians have receded to L2B, The Green Harp case is still proceeding in the Police Court. It having been reported that 100 lb. of amalgam had been found in the Green Harp shaft this morning, shares rose from 15s to 40s. July 19, In the Supremo Court, in the case of Wardrop v. Cooper, which was an action to recover LSOO damages for the non-delivery of some Bismark shares, judgment was given for the plaintiff’. Caledonians closed this morning at L 26, aud Thames at LG. 1.35 p.m. Thomas Gray, an old settler, was found dead in his own house at Papakura village last night. The body shows maiks of violence. From statements made by his wife to her neighbors, she has been arrested aud charged with murder. Caledonians has fallen to L 23. Green Harps are at 255. Wanganui, July 19. Mr H. C. IN Tandy has sworn a criminal information, alleging perjury by Ms late employer, Mr H. B, Roberts, solicitor. Napier, July 19. A man named J. Whitaker is supposed to have committed suicide. , The schooner Alice, of Dunedin, bound for Napier and Perangahau, has been wrecked at the mouth of the Perangahau River. The cargo is partly saved, but the vessel will go to pieces.
