EWING’S CASE FROM A DIFFERENT POINT OF HUE.
To the Editor. Sin,—l beg to submit the following good reasons why Ewing should be pardoned Because the victim was only a Chinaman, and is probably injured for life. Because Ewing fired at his victim when only a few feet off, and when lie was already overpowered. Because Ewing is a man of substance, and being of good character, the monotony of gaol life will be irksome.—You’*, kc. Iconoclast. July 12, 1872.
