Wellington, July 9.
The tinning Post accuses the Wellington Correspondent of the Daily Immof (e - berately misrepresenting Messrs Fi zherhert and Bunny. It says the Times has been deceived by its correspondent, who is the tool of the present Ministry.
Auckland, July 9. Shortly after nine o’clock last night, Mrs Gardner, the wife of Mr Gardner, proprietor of the hoarding-house where Thompson stayed, died of small-pox. She was vaccinated on Wednesday last, the same day as the waiter was removed to the hospital, and the same night went to bed. On Saturday DrLce discovered symptoms of variola. On Sunday she rallied, and last evening died. M‘Gregor, the other patient in ths hospital with small pox, was much worse this morning. Between 400 and 500 people have been vaccinated. , . . . , Miss Aitken, the elocutionist, proceeds South in a few days to give readings.
