The amount of revenue received at the Cue-om-house on goods, cleared for consumption to-day, was £156 7s 4 7d. There is too change to report in breadstuffs and grain. Prices remain as last given, and, excepting in flour, sales have been extremely limited. Good brands in flour are meeting with a first-rate trade inquiry The pride has now become settled, and buyers operate with more confidence. Trade parcels Ate selling at Ll3 to Ll3 10s ; inferior kinds are again beginning to come into demand ; this perhaps is owing to the price of bread not being advanced in proportion as flour has become higher. Oatmeal, LI2 j bran, L2 10s ; pollard, L 6; pearl barley. L2O. Milling wheat is offering more freely; several parcels have been offered at 5s 6d, but no sales have been effected j the millers* price for good lots is 5s 4d. Should they be induced to give the advance, a change probably will be madb in flour. Fowl wheat is quitt at 3fi Milling oats have in no way improved, Is lOd b ing the highest value ; feeding are disposed of at Is Sd.Fine samples of malting barley are readily placed at 5s 6d ; inferior sorts can be gold at 4s 6d. Potatoes improving, L 4 15s ; straw, L2 ss; chaff, L 3 15s; hay, L 3 15s; Carrots and turnips, L2los A. Mercer reports for the ending 6th July:—Retail prices only—Fresh butter, in and 11b prints, best quality, Is 3d to Is 4d per lb, ; second quality, Is 2d to Is 3d ; fresh butter in lumps, la Id; powdered and salt butter, best quality. Is ; second lOd to lid. The supply of fresh butter this week has not been quite so plentiful as last, and prices remain much the same for really good samples. For good samples of salt butter in kegs lOd per lb is being given. Cheese still keeps in good request, and a slight advance in price is perceptible. Best quality is worth 6d to 9d ; second quality, 6d per lb. Side and rolled bacon is fetching 9d to lOd. Eggs are not quite so plentiful and may bequotecl at Is 9d per doz.
