I Elixir of Pepsine, Prepared by Grimault & Co., Chemists, Reu de Peuillade, Paris. According to the formula of Dr Corviaart Knight of the Legion of Honour, Physician to H.M. the Emperor of the French, Pepsine is the gastric juice itself, or rather the active principle purified, which digests food in the stomach.
