THE EDUCATION QUESTION.

To the Editor. Sir, —While members of the Provincial Council arc discussing the question of the Bible reading in schools it is to be hoped that they may come to a proper decision in the matter. Education to be a success must' either be purely secular or purely denominational, and! for one wish to protest against anything like mixed education, as I altogether deny the right of the State to teach any child any religious doctrine whatever, except such as belongs to the ehild’s own denomination ; and no matter what the law might be I would not permit a child of mine to bo taught religion by any one who was not a member of my own church.—l am, &c.
