Drapery ■gj W I N G SPECIAL ADVERTISEMENT. BLANKETS. BLANKETS. B R 0 W N, AND c The Extraordinary Advance in the Price of Wool has been the moat noticeable commercial feature of the past year. Since May last, prices have steadily advanced, until, in seme sorts, the enormous rise of over 120 per ceut. has taken place. Now Zealand Greasy has shown nearly 90 per cent, advance during the year ending January last. This remarkable rise is believed to result simply from the operation of the law of supply and demand, which goes to strengthen the natural supposition that Wool must, for a considerable time at least, maintain its present high value. The effect of this enormous increase in the value of the Raw Material is now beginning to be felt by the Colonial Consumer, consequent upon the exhaustion of old Stocks of Manufactured Goods ; and this rise will become more apparent to the purchaser as Goods now coming to hand take the place of old Stocks. The undemoted LIST of BLANKETS represents a Large Lot ©f Goods which were bought previous to any advance taking place, and which we can unhesitatingly affirm are quoted at Lower Prices than the same Goods could at present be purchased for in the English Markets. They are by the most celebrated Makers, are all Summer finished, and having been bought in excess of our ordinary requirements nearly a year ago, will be found EXTRAORDINARY VALUE. In addition to our own Importations, we secured in this Market a Consignment of 1100 PAIRS, UNDER IMPORTERS COST, Bale, 79 80 81 The balance of which will also be sold at old prices. 200 white army, 52 x 92 inch 9- A. medium 10- do 11- do 9-4, W. medium 10 4, do 9- No. 6, Ex. medium 10- R., best Bath 10-4, B.
